I can't afford to pay more taxes
If you are over 70, disabled, blind, on active duty or a veteran, there are tax relief programs that you may qualify for. The Elderly Homeowners' Program is a state run program that has a deadline of May 15th. There is also a Elderly Property Tax Freeze program run by the town of West Hartford with a deadline of May 15th.
